Where are you going?
Through pretty much this whole pandemic experience, you tend to find more time to do things. Whether it be exercising, reading a new book, cleaning, catching up on hobbies, watching Netflix, the list goes on! So, where are you going? It seems through these times we learn to adapt to whatever is going on around us through the process of adaptation; any alteration in the structure or function of an organism or any of its parts that results from natural selection and by which the organism becomes better fitted to survive and multiply in its environment. We know it will take some time and patience, but the knowing gives us the strong-willed-strength, our umph, we never knew we had.
I think many of us think of time itself as a constant reminder to do this or do that, but really it’s all just in our heads. Of course we always want to do our best but we also need to allow ourselves time to breathe and give the poor mind a break. So much of the this or that can weigh on the subconscious and cause a whole lot of wasted energy turning into a world of anxiety. Think less, let go more. Easier said than done.
How far do we really need to go to get to where we’re going? This itself isn’t the right way to start. “Its not the Destination, It’s the journey” (Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance).
Many of us just want to get there in a hurry. Stop right there! Being in a hurry never solves anything, it only makes for scrambled thoughts being forced by your brain. You’re making yourself think so hard that it can make you angry and even more frustrated when it comes time for projects. I have to admit, I’ve had a lot of art pieces messed up that way. So, again, give yourself time and patience. It will come through. Sometimes we never think that dreaming too can have an affect on the subconscious of thoughts that transpire throughout a day. This allows for a complete restful mind, turning thoughts into images, and images into words. This behavior can be contagious if you let it, passing it on to others so they too can find the light within themselves.
So wherever you’re going, do it thoroughly. Don’t sit there and wait for something to happen, just let it happen in its own timing. Our minds tend to twist and turn throughout the days that come and go, be weary there. Keep a positive attitude in all you do. It will be your frame of mind that will have a tremendous effect on others around you and the outcomes of circumstances themselves.
